Types Wolffia Arrhiza

Rootless Walter Meal - Wolffia arrhiza
The common form of the plant. Wolffia rarely exceeds 1 mm in length. The forms of Wolffia, in contrast to other Lemnaceae, possess volumetric, thick fronds of a globular shape, sometimes sealed on the dorsal side. They always float on the surface of the water.

Fronds. In contrast to the species of teh strict Lemnaceae, Wolffia species have only one basal pocket in the form of a narrow or cone-like depression. This pocket functions in vegetative multiplication.
